Get involved with our work

We know that to achieve our vision of making foster care the best it can be, we need to be good listeners.

Ensuring our work is informed and shaped by you, our members, care experienced children and young people, and the wider care community is vital in creating long-lasting change which benefits all of us.

Voices in Action – new project

Who: For children and young people of all ages across the UK

When: Ad hoc sessions upon request, until December 2025

What: We want to hear from children and young people about what they know about us as a charity and how they might like to influence our work.

Our Participation and Innovation Partner is keen to meet with young people where they are and run creative consultation sessions featuring pizza!

If you’re a children in care council or youth group we’d love to connect.

YPAB Call

Scotland Young People’s Advisory Board – ongoing opportunity

Who: For care experienced young people aged 14-21

When: Monthly online meetings, usually Mondays 6.30-8.30pm

What: The board is very much led by the young people. Together, they may choose to support one of our campaigns or raise awareness about issues that affect the fostering community. They might also design opportunities for others with experience of foster care to come together, have fun, build friendships, and create a sense of community.

Get involved: Email [email protected] to request an expression of interest form or to ask any questions you may have. We'd love to hear from you.
