These awards recognise foster carers and kinship foster carers who have made an exceptional contribution to foster care. This could be an individual or a couple who foster together. This is open to carers in the UK who are members of The Fostering Network.

For carers in the first two years of their caring journey who have shown outstanding progress, dedication and commitment.
Providing Permanency Award
Recognises carers who provide exceptional long-term care to support stability and belonging.
Keeping Siblings Together Award
For carers who have welcomed and supported sibling groups, or shown exceptional commitment to maintaining those vital family bonds when it is in the best interest of the children.
Cultural, Identity and Belonging Award
Celebrates carers who actively promote a child’s cultural, religious, linguistic, and personal identity, creating a safe, nurturing environment where differences are respected, celebrated, and woven into everyday family life
Supporting Positive Transitions Award
Recognises carers who help children transition - whether to adulthood, return to birth family, adoption, or new homes - with dignity and confidence.
Lifelong Connections Award
For carers who maintain permanent, meaningful relationships with young people even after formal arrangements end.
Fostering Community Impact Award
Recognises carers who support other fostering families, actively participate in recruitment and training, and inspire the wider fostering community.
Inclusion & Additional Needs Award
For carers who provide exceptional care to children with disabilities, neurodiversity, or complex health needs.
Outstanding contribution to Kinship Care Award
Recognises a kinship carer who has consistently demonstrated exceptional commitment, compassion, and impact on children’s lives.
